Imagine running a race and receiving a cinematic highlight reel — starring you.
That’s exactly what adidas delivered to 30,000 Boston Marathon runners. These fully personalized, shareable videos included each runner’s actual race footage, their name, key race stats and more.
To bring this bold idea to life, adidas worked with their agency and leveraged our Next Generation Video Platform. Footage was captured live on the course with strategically placed cameras and RFID chips from runner bibs. Then our platform took over, rendering the videos in real time.
That speed was critical. Runners received their videos the same day — while the adrenaline was still high, social feeds were buzzing, and the marathon moment was still fresh.
And the response was massive with runners sharing the video across social platforms (this stuff is social media gold), hundreds of thousands of views, over 80,000 visits to adidas’ website and nearly 12x more product sales from the email.
